About | I am a single parent who more than doubled my weight during pregnancy with first child. I do have a problem visualizing myself at my ideal weight. I have continue with a strong attachment to foods that are not good for me...but it is getting easier to let go...I have no longer comfort myself with food...I don't feed all my problems...my limited range of motion in both shoulders and neck have improved a little, suffer with arthritis in multiple joints due to being grotesquely morbid obese for so long. I am carrying around 23# less than when I started the 14 week program. The path I am traveling right now is a good one and I want to continue. I regret not taking measurements at the beginning to the 14 weeks...I know I have lost a lot of inches and my body is beginning to tone but have no record of how much...it is enough for me to know how much better I am feeling. I encourage others to record everything...that way when you are able to do something new even if it may seem little to others...you must celebrate even the little things like now I can jump in the water and put my elbow just above my knee as if doing a crunch in the air...I love water workouts...I'm going to keep jumping and running in the water... |

Welcome to NCPAD's 14-Week Program to a Healthier You!
What is the program?
- Description: A free, personalized, web-based physical activity and nutrition program
- Target Audience: People with mobility limitations, chronic health conditions and physical disabilities
- Goal: To help you get moving and making healthy nutrition choices
- Duration: 14 weeks
How does it work?
- You register for the program and tell us a little about yourself.
- We take the information you gave us and, to the best of our abilities, provide you with personalized resources and exercises that meet your individual needs over the course of 14 weeks.
- Because there is new material each week that builds on the previous weeks, the program works best if you visit at least once a week.
