In the first three-year period of the Cambodian Sports for Life program (1999-2002), the program focused on volleyball, Cambodia's national sport and a team sport which fosters integration and is an ideal rehabilitative activity for the survivors of landmines, who predominantly have lower extremity/leg amputations.
The office recently published a stretching and massage booklet created by Cambodian athletes with disabilities. The booklet includes basic information on stretching and sports massage, as well as step-by-step pictures and instructions. The booklet formatting allows for the insertion of a translation of the English text into the local language.
