Body Worlds 2, Chicago, IL, January 17-April 29, 2007

Gunther von Hagen's BODY WORLDS 2: The Anatomical Exhibition of Real Human Bodies, is now appearing at the Museum of Science and Industry. Using a preservation process called plastination, BODY WORLDS 2 displays healthy and diseased organ specimens, which underscores the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and full-body plastinates are posed in athletic positions, which help one to understand how we respond to movement.

Special Camp Fair, New York City, January 27, 2007

Parents and caregivers of children and teens with disabilities can plan ahead for summer with the wealth of information offered at the 22nd annual free Special Camp Fair on Saturday, January 27, 2007, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle, 405 W. 59th Street, New York City. (Entrance to Fair is on Columbus Ave. near W. 60th St.)

The Fair is presented by Resources for Children with Special Needs, Inc., 212-677-4650. Visitors to the Fair will receive a free copy of the Camps 2007 Guide which is also available by sending a check for $25 plus $8 postage and handling to Resources for Children with Special Needs, Inc., Dept. PR1, 116 E. 16th St., 5th Floor, New York, NY 10003.

Annual Midwest Symposiums on Therapeutic Recreation and Adapted Physical Activity, April 2007

From April 21-24, 2007, the 36th Annual Midwest Symposium on Therapeutic Recreation and Adapted Physical Activity will take place at the Sheraton Westport Lakeside Chalet in St. Louis, Missouri, and from April 27-30, 2008, the 37th Annual Midwest Symposium on Therapeutic Recreation and Adapted Physical Activity will take place at the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
