4 Wheel City, Welcome 2 Reality Tour

This month the hip-hop group "4 Wheel City" (Namel Norris and Ricardo Velazquez) embarked on their first promotional tour performing at inner-city high schools within the five boroughs of New York City. The kick off performance of the tour on Oct. 5 at Christopher Columbus high school in the Bronx will be included as part of VH1's Hip Hip Honors schedule of events.

"4 Wheel City" is an entertainment company and non-profit organization founded by Norris Namel and Ricardo Velazquez. It was created to raise awareness about the injustices and discrimination of people with physical disability. More importantly, their mission is to inspire people not to give up in life and show the world that people with disabilities can still achieve their dreams.

Not only does the group perform songs, they also share their stories and experiences as paraplegics, hip-hop artists and the importance of youth making responsible choices in life. In addition, they also promote disability awareness. "That's what we are going to do by carrying out our four-fold mission we refer to as our 'Wheels/Wills', which is to inspire, educate, advocate, and entertain," Namel said of the tour."[Audiences] can expect to be blown away," Ricardo said. Students received free copies of the group's new single, Welcome 2 Reality.
