From the Editor's Desk: Make Your Heart Happy

Don't we always love the things that are good for us? Well, maybe not always, but our hearts always love exercise. So this Valentine's Day month (which also happens to be Friendship Month), share a favorite activity with a partner and do something both of your hearts will love. Scroll through Fun and Leisure section at http://www.ncpad.org/content/10/Fun~and~~Leisure and find an activity that can be shared with a friend, such as bowling or dancing. In addition, check out this month's returning nutrition corner, written by Gillian Goodfriend, RD, LDN, where the focus is on that mystifying and much-beloved little nutrient, fat. Follow her quick and easy recipes to make some heart-healthy snacks for your Valentine. Your hearts will thank you!

Send your questions and comments to Blythe Hiss, NCHPAD News Editor, at sbonne2@uic.edu.
