From the Editor's Desk: Focusing on our Future

Whitney Houston said it best with her song The Greatest Love of All when she sang "I believe that children are our future." This month, NCHPAD offers several resources focusing on youth with disabilities. Check out this month's Video Corner for a new section in the current Golf factsheet that features video clips of kids with disabilities playing golf. This month's Community Voice also highlights golf with a newspaper article featuring an exciting new golf program for youth with disabilities. The book review describes a book written by a young athlete with autism, and the research section discusses a review on aquatic exercise in children with cerebral palsy. In addition, a newly published article co-authored by NCHPAD Director, James Rimmer, describes the critical need for physical activity in youth with disabilities. Read an abstract of this article, referenced below, by going to http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/content~content=a785031621~db=all.
