General Description
National Capital Parks - East (NACE), a unit of the National Capital Region, was established to preserve and protect the many natural and cultural resources within its boundaries, for the enjoyment, education, and inspriation of this and future generations. Major areas managed as units of NACE include: Anacostia Park, Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, CApital Hill Parks, Fort Circle Parks, Frederick Douglass NHS, Mary McLeod Bethune Council House NHS, Fort Dupont Park, Oxon Cove Park, Fort Washington Park, Piscataway Park, Greenbelt, Baltimore-Washington Parkway and Suitland Park.
