 Those pithy words ring truer today than ever as one-third of adults and 17 percent of youth in the United States are considered obese. The laundry list of chronic health conditions often accompanying our extra weight reinforces the importance of maintaining a healthy weight through proper diet and exercise. Celebrating National Nutrition Month:  National Nutrition Month

In 1973, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics created a National Nutrition week that has now evolved into the National Nutrition Month occurring in March. This year’s theme is “Enjoy the Taste of Eating Right” and includes materials on how to incorporate taste and nutrition into building healthy meals that meet the Dietary Guidelines and recommendations.
