Sports 'n Spokes

Abstract

It might take a village to raise a child, but it takes a family, a community, and an entire Native American nation to raise a wheelchair racer.

Notes

Cheri Becerra, a member of the Omaha tribe, started racing when she was 18 and has not allowed her disability to slow her down. Competed at the Atlanta Paralympic Games and won four medals overall.
