Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a degenerative neurological disease that affects motor coordination. In late stages of the disease, all voluntary movement is affected and paralysis sets in. But as muscular action is challenged in ALS sufferers, research on exercise and ALS appears necessary yet controversial. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of exercise on various factors associated with ALS.
