Camp Hope, Wyoming's summer camp for children with diabetes is a camp session for children between the ages of 7-18 years. The camp is designed to provide opportunities for children with diabetes to become more knowledgeable in the care of their diabetes while enjoying a wholesome atmosphere of fun and association with others.
The camp will be staffed by experienced counselors, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and dietitians. Proper individual diabetic management will be maintained through a regular program of blood glucose testing, and a professional review of medical records on a daily basis.
Campers learn how to live with diabetes through association and some structured educational sessions. But mostly, a myriad of fun activities makes the week truly enjoyable and teaches us that life can still be full of joy and wonder even with diabetes.
Camp Hope exists solely upon camper fees and private donations. However, no child will be denied the opportunity to experience camp due to inability to pay. We will accept partial payment, or full camperships are available due to the generosity of friends of Camp Hope. Camp Hope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Donations are fully tax deductible.
