Camp Open Arms takes place every July and it is a two-week day camp for any child touched by cancer or a blood related disease, including sickle cell anemia. Children living with cancer (or blood related disease) or any child who has a family member living with the disease are welcome to attend. Camp Open Arms also welcomes children who have lost a loved one. The camp's main purpose is to provide campers, including those undergoing treatment, with the opportunity for a normal camping experience, and the chance to spend time with their siblings in a fun, interactive way. The emphasis at camp is on FUN!
