The 2013 American Heart Association (AHA)/American College of Cardiology (ACC) Guideline on Lifestyle Management to Reduce Cardiovascular Risk states, “There is insufficient evidence to determine whether lowering dietary cholesterol reduces LDL-C.” What that means is that scientific research at this time has not shown that reducing the amount of cholesterol you eat and drink will lower your LDL (“bad”) cholesterol. This is great news for those who love the Incredible, Edible Egg! Eggs are packed with important nutrients including vitamins and minerals, protein and antioxidants.
