At snack time, measure out one serving (refer to the nutrition label) and eat it from a separate container instead of straight out of the box or bag. This way, you will know exactly how much you are eating!

Be prepared and have snack bags ready for traveling. Create them by reading the Nutrition Facts label and measuring out a single serving size into a plastic bag.

Leftovers can be a great option for a quick meal. Freeze leftovers as single servings so that you can pull one serving out of the freezer when you need a quick healthy meal.

Use smaller dishes for meal time. When trying to reduce how much you eat at meal time, use a smaller bowl or plate to trick your brain into thinking you aren’t eating a smaller portion.

When ordering food at a restaurant, consider splitting an entrée to avoid overeating.
