Discussion
The study shows that exercise is effective in improving strength, arm ergometry performance, and quality of life. Researchers used two days of exercise per week in an attempt to increase program adherence. Adherence levels were similar to previous studies and also similar to reports of non-injured populations. This lack of improvement in adherence may be due to the length of the exercise session. The session length of 120 minutes may be too much to maintain participation levels.
