Approximately 50% of the participants did some type of exercise. Major obstacles to exercise were cost of exercise program (37.9%), lack of transportation (22.4%), lack of knowledge about where to exercise (34.5%), and lack of exercise equipment at home (82.1%). Positive correlations were found between exercise and the individual's health status (p<0.05), caregiver attitude (p<0.01), and residence type (p<0.01) - specifically non-nursing home settings.
