The Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center (RERC) on Accessible Medical Instrumentation (http://www.ncpad.org/660/2707/2003-12-01), a consortium based primarily in Wisconsin and California, is evaluating methods and technologies to increase the usability and accessibility of diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural healthcare equipment and assistive devices for people with disabilities.
