Bio-Fit Program

The Amputee Coalition of America's Youth Activities Program has a new youth fitness program designed for kids, their parents, and caregivers called the Bio-Fit Program. Bio-fit programs will take place throughout the year and around the country so that as many youths as possible can participate. Each one-day event will include athletic activities led by the ACA staff and special guests such as Paralympians, and will be geared for youth as well as parents/caregivers. Special sessions will allow youth to meet and greet the special guests and learn from their experiences as well as the opportunity to share yours. Parents/caregivers will receive special educational sessions while the youth engage in athletic adventures!

Bio-Fit programs have taken place in Atlanta, GA on April 6, 2002 and Anaheim, CA on July 20, 2002. The third program will take place in Philadelphia, PA, September 7, 2002.

For more information on Bio-Fit and registration, check out the website at http://www.ncpad.org/676/2938/2002-08-01 or contact Hendrikje "Henny" Carriger at 888-267-5669 ext. 8134, email hcarriger@amputee-coalition.org!
