NCHPAD Researcher Receives NIH Grant
Dr. Barth Riley was recently awarded a three-year planning grant from the National Center on Medical Rehabilitation Research to develop a measure of physical activity that is specific to individuals with physical disabilities. Unlike many other physical activity surveys, this instrument will be designed for administration by computer. The instrument will make use of computer adaptive testing (CAT) methods that permit accurate measurement without the need to administer all instrument items, thereby reducing respondent burden. Dr. James Rimmer, director of NCPAD, is co-principal investigator on the project.
