NUDGE Corner: Ideas for Your Accessible Recreation

Last month we introduced the National Users with Disabilities Group on Exercise (NUDGE), a research project assessing the extent to which current knowledge concerning recreation technology is transferred into practical applications, assisting persons with disabilities to engage in recreational activities. To participate in the NUDGE survey, click on http://www.rectech.org/surveys/index.php.

As part of the NUDGE project, this month we feature golfing adaptations. See our new video-enabled golfing factsheet at http://www.ncpad.org/212/1396/Golf and other video clips in the series at http://www.ncpad.org/content/61/Video. Review the "Challenge Golf" video review below. Also, May is PGA Free Lesson Month. Throughout May, PGA Professionals will be offering free 10-minute golf lessons at more than 4,100 facilities nationwide to help amateur golfers improve their skills and attract new players to the game. Obtain more information at http://www.ncpad.org/678/2957/2004-05-01.
