Nutrition Spotlight: Savor the Flavor of Eating Right
Every year, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics claims the month of March as National Nutrition Month. This year’s theme is Savor the Flavor of Eating Right which is intended to encourage us to take time to enjoy food traditions while appreciating the pleasures, great flavors and social experiences that food can bring into our lives.

Spina bifida, caused from an abnormality of neural tube formation, is one of the most common birth defects in the United States. Several secondary conditions, such as obesity, bowel and bladder issues, and pressure sores can all be managed through proper nutrition and exercise.
