2003 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) State Prevalence Tables Now Available
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC's) Behavioral Surveillance Branch has released the 2003 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) state prevalence tables. 266,346 interviews were completed in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam. Although the data files were first available on June 9, 2004, the state prevalence tables available today make the BRFSS data easier to read and available to the average user. Decision-makers can access these data in a format that is easy to read and understand to better inform program and policy development.
