Peer tutors should also be aware of any behavior plans that are in place for the child they are tutoring. The peer tutor, however, should not be responsible for implementing the behavior plan. It is up to the teacher or assigned paraprofessional to handle any behavior problems that may occur during the class.
Teachers today are extremely busy with duties, planning, assessments, and often coaching. Some of the biggest questions asked are, "How long will this take?" and "When can I do the training?" These are good questions.
