The training programs offer a unique learning environment for children and their parents, special education teachers, yoga teachers, and health care professionals. Directed by internationally-renowned yoga therapist and author Sonia Sumar, Yoga for the Special ChildTM is a comprehensive program of yoga techniques designed to enhance the natural development of babies and children with disabilities. For more information, please contact Sonia Sumar or Michelle Demes at 888-900-YOGA, 847-869-8315, info@specialyoga.com, or see the Web site at http://www.ncpad.org/657/2663/2004-04-01.

    • Trim Kids, a 12-week plan that has helped many kids lose weight, includes sample recipes, exercise ideas, and tips for parents. Written by a licensed clinical exercise physiologist, a research psychologist, and a dietician, the book provides practical advice to parents using evidence-based research. Read more at http://www.ncpad.org/657/2663/2004-04-01.
