Moving-Forward exercise videos were developed and designed by Violet Huggins, a mother and business-owner who, after incurring a spinal cord injury, discovered that there was an absence of appropriate exercise resources. These videos are designed for people with back pain, multiple sclerosis, stroke and cardiovascular conditions, osteoarthritis, arthritis, and diabetes, and are fun and easy to follow. As a tool in beginning rehabilitation, they focus on a variety of range of motion exercises. Moving Forward intends to continue adding new videos for a wide range of different medical conditions.
As an example, the video for persons with cerebrovascular conditions includes an array of exercises, such as shoulder lifts, seated push-ups, leg extensions, shoulder rotations, and the standing hamstring curl. The 30-minute session ends with a short, relaxing meditation.
