Ease into Fitness: Beginner Workout for People with Developmental Disabilities


Ease Into Fitness is a 35-minute DVD or VHS exercise video that combines warm-up, flexibility, aerobic, strength, balance, and cool-down activities targeted specifically to persons with developmental disabilities.

An accompanying viewer's guide includes screening questions to determine if the person needs a doctor's permission before exercising and a workout calendar to track one's progress. It suggests other ideas, including setting a schedule, offering rewards such as working out with an exercise partner, allotting sufficient space for a productive session, drinking water, and offering testimonials on how to stay motivated.
