NCHPAD - Building Healthy Inclusive Communities

National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDD) Inaugural Conference


The National Center on Birth Defects, Developmental Disabilities, Disability and Health Inaugural Conference will be held September 17-19, 2002, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.

José F. Cordero, M.D., M.P.H., Director of NCBDD at CDC will give the plenary session, "Honoring the Past and Framing the Future." Concurrent sessions include:"Health Promotion Opportunities for People with Disabilities," "Aging and Disability: Defining New Roles for Public Health," and "Emerging New Issues in Health and Human Development." Dana Reeve of the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation will be one of the keynote speakers.
