F.I.T.T: Ask the Expert: What Exercise Professionals Can Learn from their Clients


As an exercise professional and personal trainer for the last 11 years, I have learned the valuable lesson of listening to my clients. Exercise professionals often quote guidelines and standards and speak in terms such as VO2 max or MET levels. It is essential to translate the science to practice, but it is equally important to understand that a tailored approach to exercise prescription is needed to ensure a successful outcome.
