Accessibility Improvements at Sportsman's Park, American Falls, Idaho

The Bureau of Reclamation, Snake River Area, intends to award a grant to Bingham County Parks and Recreation Department (County) to make campground and day-use facilities at Sportsman's Park more compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Guidelines.

Rehabilitation Research and Training Centers (RRTCs), U.S. Department of Education, National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research

The purpose of the RRTC program is to improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 through advanced research, training, technical assistance, and dissemination activities in general problem areas, as specified by NIDRR. Such activities are designed to benefit rehabilitation service providers, individuals with disabilities, and the family members or other authorized representatives of individuals with disabilities.

Active Living Research - New Connections Grants, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF)

The New Connections initiative will offer both research and publication grants. It supports research to identify promising policy and environmental strategies for increasing physical activity, decreasing sedentary behaviors, and preventing obesity among children and adolescents.

Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centers (RERCs)--Techniques for Successful Aging with Disability, National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR)

The purpose of the RERC program is to improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 by conducting advanced engineering research and development on innovative technologies that are designed to solve particular rehabilitation problems or remove environmental barriers.

I Can Do It, You Can Do It! Program

This 8-week mentoring program for youth with disabilities developed by the Office on Disability supports physical activity, nutritional awareness, fitness, and healthy lifestyles. Interested applicants will be required to submit a short proposal for review. Five community organizations, public school systems, and/or universities will be awarded $5,000 to implement the program within their organization.

Meetings, Conferences, and Networks for Research Partnerships to Improve Functional Outcomes, Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health

This funding opportunity solicits applications from organizations for meetings and networks that will facilitate interdisciplinary research partnership among investigators. The goal is to create opportunities for forming strong and effective multi-disciplinary scientific teams to address basic, translational, or clinical research problems in rehabilitation or management of chronic disease, including mental disorders.

Rural Health Care Services Outreach Grant Program, Health Resources & Services Administration, Department of Health and Human Services
