From the Editor's Desk: Winter is Calling, Whether You Like it or Not

Picture of the Newsletter Editor, Blythe HissWinter is calling. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, even in the coldest of temperatures, maybe it's time to try an exciting activity like downhill skiing. Read this month's Community Voice to hear one person's thrilling first-time experience with the sport. On the other hand, winter often keeps many people inside, waiting out the snow and ice for the opportunity to rejoin the world at first sign of spring. For fitness facilities and professionals, this is good news as many people look to join gyms during this time of year, due to the weather but also to address those looming New Year's resolutions. Therefore, this is a perfect time to expand your clientele and make your facility and programs more inclusive of people with disabilities. Read this month's FITT column to find out why and how you should be marketing to this population. Have a happy and healthy holiday season!
