From the Information Specialist's Desk

  1. October is replete with opportunities for fitness and recreation!
  2. NCHPAD Information Specialists attended and exhibited at the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) conference in Atlanta, September 12-16. Recreation therapists throughout the United States attended the conference to gain knowledge and explore strengthening outcomes and opportunities in therapeutic recreation. NCHPAD provided attendees with resources and information on physical activity, recreation, disability, health conditions and more, and can provide information materials for your organization, conference, workshop or program. Please contact us at 800-900-8086 or e-mail swanngue@uic.edu with your request. Alternative formats are available upon request.
  3. The NCHPAD Accessible Programs Survey is now available online. Complete the short survey and add your program/organization to NCPAD's searchable database!
