From the Editor's Desk: It's Summertime!


Summer is finally here! The warm temperature and sunshine have me looking for more activities to do, especially outdoor activities. A few of my favorites during this time are swimming, going to the beach, kayaking, or just enjoying the outdoors more. But, you don't have to be outdoors to be active. Doing activities at home or going to a fitness center are also great options. This month, I am excited to introduce a new document to our NCHPAD resources, entitled "Using a Fitness Center Does Not Have to be an Exercise in Frustration: Tips for People with Mobility and Visual Disabilities." So, if you're new to fitness centers and/or have any questions you'd like answered, this would be a helpful resource. Don't forget to check out the rest of this month's articles.
