NCHPAD Personal Trainers Database: As NCPAD's overall mission is to help people with disabilities find not only accessible programs but also qualified fitness professionals in their communities, this directory covers information on personal trainers who work with clients with disabilities and health conditions. New Member of the President's Council on Physical Activity and Sports
On May 24, Disabled Sports USA Executive Director Kirk Bauer was sworn into the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, a 20-member body composed of experts and leaders in the fitness and sports field.

Bauer is a Vietnam veteran with disabilities and the only veteran on the council. He plans to use his position to promote fitness for youth with disabilities and veterans, as these two groups are some of the most unfit in the nation.

International Paralympic Committee (IPC) "BrowseAloud" Feature
This new tool will ensure that the content and the services provided on the IPC website are accessible for all users to further spread the vision and mission of the Paralympic Movement. To use BrowseAloud, download the free software at www.browsealoud.com/downloads.asp?dl=bl.

AARP's Get Fit on Route 66
Participants can embark on a nostalgic virtual journey down the legendary highway from Chicago to Santa Monica (2,448 miles) by recording exercise minutes. One minute of activity equals one mile on the route. For more information, go to http://aarp.getfitonroute66.com/.

Southeast DBTAC Online Course
The course, "At Your Service: Welcoming Customers with Disabilities," is a free, accessible, self-paced web course for people interested in discovering best practices for working with customers who have disabilities. This course has recently been revised and expanded in response to requests from more than 10,000 participants who have taken the course. Learn more at www.sedbtac.org.

Free Access to National Recreation and Historical Sites for Persons with Disabilities
The Golden Access Passport is a lifetime entrance pass for citizens or permanent residents of the United States who are blind or permanently disabled to national parks, monuments, historic sites, recreation areas, and national wildlife refuges that charge an entrance fee. Support the Haloman Foundation
The new Chicago-based Haloman Foundation offers information and resources that assist with the prevention of and recovery from spinal cord injury. Director Alan (HALO-man) Robinson is the second person with quadriplegia in history to run a 26.2-mile marathon and the first to complete four marathons. The American Hiking Society sponsored National Trails Day on June 3 to encourage all Americans to get outside, get active, and experience the wonders of trails in their own communities and throughout the country.
