Mather LifeWays is a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting lifelong vitality and supporting the potential for growth of individuals as they age. Mather consists of three organizations: Senior Living Communities, Community Initiatives, and the Mather Institute on Aging. All three sponsor talks and programs such as Heart Smart for Women and SeniorFIT. The Mather Cafe Plus is a popular program held at several locations across the Chicago area, and consists of programs (i.e., exercise/fitness, art and music lessons, health screenings, computer classes), a food cafe, information and assistance, and social opportunities (i.e., trips, book club).
