Tenure-Track Faculty Position, Health Promotion for Persons with Disabilities, University of Illinois at Chicago

The Departments of Disability and Human Development, Movement Sciences, and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Chicago are conducting a joint search and are seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position (rank open) available for Academic Year 2005-06. The candidate should be able to develop and sustain an independent research program relevant to promoting health among persons with disabilities through improved exercise and nutrition, as well as participate in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Individuals should be highly motivated and have a demonstrated track record in research. Candidates should have post-doctoral experience, and senior applicants should also have a history of academic accomplishments and extramural funding.

Child Development and Rehabilitation Center (CDRC) Assistant or Associate Professor

Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, is searching for a Research Scientist to participate in the research of the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center: Health and Wellness for People with Long-Term Disabilities (RRTC). The RRTC is funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) to conduct research and training to support the health and wellness of persons with long-term disabilities.

Doctoral degree in health-related field or master's degree with extensive research experience in health services utilization. Experience with database management software, statistical software, and graphic display software; addressing issues related to health care and research methods; and grant writing. Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand

Three vacancies exist within the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research (CPAN) at AUT University's North Shore Campus in Auckland, New Zealand. Temple University, Therapeutic Recreation Department, Tenure-Track Researcher

Temple University's Therapeutic Recreation Department is recruiting a researcher (tenure-track, open rank) to support the department's unique focus on the role of play and physically active recreation/leisure behavior in health promotion, rehabilitation, and quality of life for persons with illnesses and disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a program of research relevant to the department's mission. Applicants must have a doctoral degree, a publication history, and preferably expertise in health promotion and disability studies, pediatrics, or geriatrics.
