From the Information Specialist's Desk: Get Connected!! NCHPAD and IFC on Twitter & Facebook

In November 2009, NCHPAD and IFC both launched Twitter and Facebook pages. The purpose of these pages is to promote Exercise for Everybody! People with disabilities are very much able to lead healthy and active lifestyles as long as there are inclusive opportunities and universal design. We are currently and actively seeking individuals and organizations that are interested in learning more or speaking out on topics related to physical activity and health promotion for people with disabilities. To join our discussion or subscribe to our posts, see the links below. If you are unable to access the following pages, please contact the NCHPAD administrator at mmccal1@uic.edu or 312-355-4540.

PLEASE NOTE: NEW CHANGES TO NEWSLETTER!:

Effective this month NCHPAD will no longer be featuring the announcement sections in detail in the monthly newsletter. Any new event, job, grant, research study or other similar opportunities will be listed in the Announcements section by title only, but any details about that opportunity (as well as still current or ongoing announcements) will have their own link within the NCHPAD website. We feel this is advantageous for our readers as you can now sign up for individual RSS feeds for whichever announcement section(s) are more applicable to you. This also allows you to receive this information in a much more timely manner, which is especially useful with submission and application deadlines.

To access these individual sections and/or to sign up for individual RSS feeds, the links are provided below, but see this month's Announcements section for titles of any new listings since last month's newsletter:
