NCHPAD RESOURCES

NCPAD's Online Request Page & Video List
NCPAD's online request page is now up and running! Go to the online request page at http://www.ncpad.org/contact/ to request information on the topics of physical activity, fitness, recreation, and sports for people with varying disabilities and chronic conditions. Also, see our new online video list at http://www.ncpad.org/351/2036/Exercise~Video~List, which includes a wide range of exercise videos that can guide you in an exercise routine in the comfort of your own home.

Personal Trainers and Parks Databases
Also, don't miss our two new databases. The personal trainer's database lists personal trainers throughout the U.S. for people with disabilities or chronic health conditions. Go to http://www.ncpad.org/directories/19/Personal~Trainers to find a trainer in your area, or to be added to this national database if you are a trainer who works with people with disabilities. Contact Cheeri Ong at cheeri@uic.edu to request a mailed survey. NCPAD's online accessible parks database can be located at http://www.ncpad.org/directories/18/Parks to find a park in your area. Park administrators and/or accessibility coordinators can also add their park-related information to this national database by accessing the same link.

Camp Resources
As the summer months near, access the NCHPAD Camps Resources factsheet (http://www.ncpad.org/78/597/Camp~Resources), as well as the Discover Camp Booklet, which can answer many common questions that parents ask when sending their child who has a disability to camp. This booklet which can be requested in hard copy at no cost or in a web version (http://www.ncpad.org/discover/index.html).
