Executive Director, American Association for Physical Activity and Recreation

The American Association for Physical Activity and Recreation (AAPAR) seeks applications from those qualified to serve as the Association's Executive Director. AAPAR, an associate of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD), is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, near Washington, D.C.

The AAPAR Executive Director provides professional leadership and administrative support to the AAPAR Board of Directors; develops and implements plans for fund raising, grant and contract procurement; serves as an advisor, consultant and resource person for professionals; represents AAPAR and AAHPERD as a spokesperson on professional issues pertaining to the interests of AAPAR; and manages day-to-day operations of the association. Physical Activity and Nutrition (PAN) Program Manager

Post-Doctorate Position with Women's Cardiovascular Health Research Project

A post-doctorate researcher is sought to take a lead role in a $1.25 million community-based women's cardiovascular health research project. Responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and evaluating a women's heart health initiative in three North Dakota communities in conjunction with the Dakota Medical Foundation and the American Heart Associations "Go Red" campaign. Necessary qualifications include completed Ph.D. and experience with community-based research design, implementation, and evaluation.
