What I have learned this month is that making lifestyle changes in your life that promote a healthier way of living is challenging enough, but to add a spouse, a significant other, or family can often complicate your plan of action. Many of the persons I work with have the challenge of not only changing their eating or physical activity habits, but those of their children or family. If your teenager snacks on high-fat, high-sugar, and high-calorie foods, this creates two battles for you to fight. Add physical activity, and the equation has suddenly become more complicated.
