On March 17-18, 2003, the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Health and Wellness Consortium, the National Rehabilitation Hospital Center for Health and Disability Research, and the Institute on Disability and Human Development at the University of Illinois at Chicago will jointly sponsor the Changing Concepts of Health and Disability Conference. The purpose of the conference is to examine innovative research and current trends in health and wellness for people with disabilities and to identify future directions in research, training and policy. Goals of the conference are to develop specific recommendations for a health research agenda for training and dissemination, and to link issues of health and disability to the broad national disability policy agenda. Health and disability researchers, policy makers, program administrators, health care providers, advocates, and people with disabilities are encouraged to attend.

The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda, One Bethesda Metro, Bethesda, MD 20814. Click on http://www.ncpad.org/670/2869/2003-02-01 for more information.
